What will you learn in JFM Associates NRA Classes?
 The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Private classes are also offered for students who would like to complete the course in a shorter amount of time. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, two handed and one handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Classes are held weekly to maintain small groups. The NRA Basic Pistol Private Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. The PRIVATE course requires less time to complete because we are able to cover all material one-on-one. It also includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. You will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, two handed and one handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. The State of Connecticut Guard Card Criminal Justice Class is required for any qualified person at least 18 years of age who is an employee of a licensed watchman, guard or security service or is an employee hired to perform as a watchman, guard or patrol by a firm or corporation.
We also offer the State of Connecticut Blue Card Firearms Class for individuals that are of 21 years of age, possess a Connecticut State Pistol Permit and will be working as an armed uniformed or non-uniformed security officer.
The Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course is required to be eligible for a Non-resident Massachusetts LTC(License to Carry) or FID(Firearms Identification Card) permit. We offer this course in a groups about once a month.
