The background investigation includes an in person interview. A person vested with police powers is ineligible to be licensed as a bail enforcement agent. The background investigation typically takes 8 weeks to complete. A license is issued for a period of 1 year and the fee for a license is $100.00.
Designed for those persons seeking licensing in the State of Connecticut to apprehend persons who have eluded the Judicial process by “skipping” (failing to appear in court).
Our in-house instructor (a current Bail Enforcement Agent and Former Bail Bondsman), is one of only a few in the country that are authorized by the State to conduct all components of the course.
Meeting your State's mandatory licensing or certification requirements is only the first step to becoming a successful Bail Enforcement Agent, or, more commonly known to the public at-large, a bounty hunter.
A bail bond company owner will be unlikely to hire a Bail Enforcement Agent who has no experience; therefore, JFM Associates will be offering the Bail Enforcement Field Training program in Connecticut included with the BEA Criminal Justice Course. This program will enable a new bounty hunter to provide verifiable experience of his or her BEA training in the field. We are currently the only Field Training Program provider in Connecticut. **Conditions Apply**
